Hello! My name is Seoyun Rhie, and I’m a visual artist who explores the emotions and stories hidden within small moments of everyday life.

 

My work starts with a focus on the seemingly trivial details that we often overlook. I am particularly interested in fading memories, fleeting emotions, and the small details that gradually disappear from our everyday lives. Through my work, I explore how these fragments shape our experiences and identities.

 

Through experimenting with a variety of media, I translate the emotions and stories I discover into my own visual language. I am especially drawn to using contrasts in color and materials, as well as symbolic images and forms, to make intangible emotions and experiences visible.

 

For me, creating art is not simply about making something beautiful. It is a process of looking at the familiar from an unfamiliar perspective and discovering the meanings hidden within it.
